posted in: Uncategorized | 0

This is a nice, light frosting. It was a staple of our childhood. Be sure to beat it long enough.

INGREDIENTS

½ C. Milk

¼ C. oleomargarine

½ C sugar

Pinch salt

2 T. flour

¼ C. Crisco

1 tsp. vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS

1.Boil the milk and flour until softened

2. Let  Cool

3.Beat  the remaining ingredients a LONG time –until you can’t feel the sugar crystal between your fingers

4. Add cooled flour-milk mixture

Has anyone tried this with butter? Please let us know.
