Ih what a classic and so delicious, esp. served with a dollop of vanilla ice cream.
Sue made this and used frozen strawberries and rhubarb that she had defrosted a scooch. Recipe is easily haved.
INGREDIENTS
10-12 cooking apples
2 T. lemon juice
1 C. flour
1 stick butter (1/4 lb.)
1/2 C. sugar
1/2 C. brown sugar
DIRECTIONS
- Peel and cut apples in pieces
- Stir aplle pieces with sugar and lemon juice
- Mix flour, brown sugar, butter, and sprinkle on apple mixture
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes
