Mamie’s Deep Dish Apple Pie

Ih what a classic and so delicious, esp. served with a dollop of vanilla ice cream.

Sue made this and used frozen strawberries and rhubarb that she had defrosted a scooch. Recipe is easily haved.

INGREDIENTS

10-12 cooking apples

2 T. lemon juice

1 C. flour

1 stick butter (1/4 lb.)

1/2 C. sugar

1/2 C. brown sugar

DIRECTIONS

  1. Peel and cut apples in pieces
  2. Stir aplle pieces with sugar and lemon juice
  3. Mix flour, brown sugar, butter, and sprinkle on apple mixture
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes
