I never had good luck with this recipe — perhaps you will do better. Please let me know how it comes out….
INGREDIENTS
1 C. sugar
1/3 C. water
dash salt
1/4 t. cream of tartar
DIRECTIONS
Put ingredients in small pan
Bring to boil and stir until sugar dissolves
Very slowly add the hot sugar syrup to 2 unbeaten egg whites in small mixing bowl, beating constantly at high speed until stiff peaks form
Beat in one t. vanilla
